Toronto’s most expensive homes for sale are asking $25.65 million

This luxury condo might make many deep-pocketed Americans sing, “O Canada!”
North America’s fourth-largest city, Toronto (Gimme Shelter’s hometown) is a spectacular place with plenty to offer—but, as it increasingly becomes home to glass apartment towers, affordable housing isn’t one of those things.
And now, as the city continues its rise, there’s a new home to crown them all.
An 80th-floor pre-construction condo has been listed for $25.65 million — $34.98 million in Canadian dollars — making it the most expensive on the market in Toronto.
It is located inside an 85-story building called The One, at 1 Bloor St. West, located in downtown Toronto near the intersection of Bloor and Yonge — the latter is the longest street in Canada. It’s also a stone’s throw from the city’s already trendy Yorkville district – similar to New York’s Soho – home to a number of luxury hotels, shops and top restaurants.

With its height of 85 stories, The One is also the tallest residential tower in Canada, created by architects Foster + Partners and Mizrahi Development.
The full-floor space is a two-unit combo spanning 8,758 square feet, with floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors and panoramic skyline views. The home includes a chef’s kitchen and a master bedroom with a spa-like bathroom.
Building amenities include a concierge, an infinity pool, a gym, and an 8,200-square-foot garden terrace. Project renderings show open-concept living spaces, plush lounges and views of the city’s CN Tower and Lake Ontario.
One is scheduled to be ready for occupancy in June 2024.
